Possible Hit-and-Run on 110 Freeway in South LA Ends in Fatality

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (May 25, 2021) – A man died in a possible hit-and-run on 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles Monday morning, May 24.
 
Around 5:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the right shoulder of the freeway, just past the 105 Freeway and found a male pedestrian lying in the roadway.
 
The victim who was in his mid-30s was wearing a gray sweater and black pants. He suffered blunt force trauma to the head.
 
Officers pronounced the man dead at the scene. They did not release his name pending family notification.
 
There were no vehicles found at the scene.
 
The incident prompted officials to shut down most of the northbound lanes through South Los Angeles until around 11:20 a.m.
 
At this time, the fatality is still under investigation.
