Coroner Identifies Two Teens Mohammed Al Salih, Ali Shoker Ali Killed in North Sacramento Crash

 
NORTH SACRAMENTO, CA (May 23, 2021) – Ali Shoker Ali and Mohammed Mahir Subhi Al Salih died in a high-speed crash in North Sacramento Friday evening, May 21.
 
The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Striker Avenue and National Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue convertible Mustang was driving westbound on Striker Avenue at a high rate of speed. It ran a stop sign and struck a Chevrolet Malibu heading northbound on National Drive.
 
As a result, the Mustang overturned killing the two backseat passengers. Shoker Ali was 18 years old, while Al Salih was 19 years old.
 
The driver of the Mustang and the front passenger were both taken to the hospital with major injuries.
 
The occupants in the Malibu, two women and a child, had minor injuries.
 
At this time, officers are still investigating and are not sure if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
