North Hollywood Man Dies in Sun Valley DUI Crash on 5 Freeway

 
SUN VALLEY, CA (May 6, 2021) – Jason Galves Bojorquez died in a DUI accident in Sun Valley early Thursday morning, May 6.
 
The accident happened around 1:00 a.m. on Golden State (5) Freeway near Sheldon Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2003 Lexus IS300 was traveling at a high rate of speed when its left side struck the right side of a BMW 325i.
 
The Lexus veered to the right after the impact. It then crashed onto the right shoulder of the freeway, went up an embankment and overturned.
 
Galves, who was a passenger in the Lexus, was ejected and died at the scene. He was a 27-year-old North Hollywood resident.
 
The driver of the BMW, a 39-year-old Beverly Hills man, was not injured.
 
The driver of the Lexus, a 27-year-old North Hollywood woman, sustained minor injuries. Police later arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
