Hit-and-Run Victorville Accident on Amethyst Road at Luna Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (April 29, 2021) – At least eight people suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on Amethyst Road on April 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Luna Road around 3:51 PM.
 
Based on a report, a black Chevy Tahoe was traveling at a high rate of speed at the time of the crash. Subsequently, it ran the red light and t-boned a sedan with a woman and three children. It was not clear how many vehicles became part of the crash. Then, the driver of the Chevy fled the scene on foot.
 
As a result, eight people, including children suffered injuries in the incident. Victorville City Firefighters had to use the jaws of life to extricate two people in different vehicles. Crews airlifted the victims with critical injuries to the hospital. The remaining six patients, which included four children, were transported by ground ambulances to area hospitals.
 
In the end, officers found and arrested the male driver in a nearby neighborhood. At this point, an investigation into this multi-vehicle accident on Amethyst Road is still ongoing. In addition, officers ask anyone with information to call the Victorville Police Department at 760-241-2911.
