Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Katella Avenue in Stanton

 
STANTON, CA (April 22, 2021) – A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Katella Avenue in Stanton Tuesday evening, April 20.
 
Around 9:00 p.m., deputies responded to the 7600 block of Katella Avenue near Date Street, where they found the female pedestrian. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, the woman was possibly outside of a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck her.
 
As a result, the woman suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. She was not yet identified.
 
Deputies took the driver of the vehicle to a hospital for DUI test.
 
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
