OAKLEY, CA (April 5, 2021) – Two children suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Portsmouth Street on April 2.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened shortly after 4:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, an unidentified vehicle struck the children. However, officials did not yet release the details that led to the crash.
 
As a result, both victims were hurt in the incident. Emergency crews set up a landing spot at Nunn-Wilson Family Park, where a helicopter took the 4-year-old girl with a head injury to UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. In addition, they transported the 6-year-old girl with minor injuries by ambulance to Sutter Delta Medical Center in Antioch.
 
As of now, Oakley police are still investigating this pedestrian accident on Portsmouth Street.
