Eugene Lopez Dies in Alleged DUI Crash on Foothill Boulevard near Snake Road

 
OROVILLE, CA (March 22, 2021) — Eugene Lopez died in a suspected DUI accident on Foothill Boulevard near Snake Road Friday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened before 8:00 a.m. For possible DUI-related reasons, Lopez crashed into a tree just after he had left the Gold Country Casino.
 
Per investigations, the accident happened as the 34-year-old was heading eastbound on Foothill Boulevard. Under unknown conditions, his vehicle drifted off the road. Since he had failed to wear a seatbelt at the time of impact, the force ejected Lopez out of the car.
