Two-Vehicle Accident in Keyes Leaves 1 Driver Dead, Bob Andrade Seriously Injured

 
KEYES, CA (February 23, 2021) – Authorities identified 79-year-old Tony Perez as the man who died in a two-vehicle accident Saturday in Keyes.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened just before noon on February 13, at East Keyes Road and Faith Home Road.
 
Perez, a resident of Ceres, was driving a light brown Hyundai sedan southbound on Faith Home Road. At the same time, a motorist in a gray 2009 Mercedes-Benz was heading west on Keyes Road.
 
The Mercedes collided with the Hyundai for unknown reasons, causing the Hyundai to overturn into an orchard.
 
As a result, Perez suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the Mercedes, 45-year-old Bob Manuel Andrade of Turlock, sustained major injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
 
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected factors in the crash.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the exact cause of the accident.
