SAN JACINTO, CA (June 28, 2024) — A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run accident on San Jacinto Avenue near Shaver Street.
 
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, the deadly hit-and-run happened around 3:00 a.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, an unidentified driver struck someone walking or standing on the road. Subsequently, the motorist left the scene before the authorities arrived.
 
Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, he or she passed away. Authorities have not released the person’s identity.
