Wrong-Way Collision Results in 5-Car Crash on 10 Freeway in Covina

 
COVINA, CA (June 21, 2024) — A wrong-way accident resulted in a 5-car pileup on the 10 Freeway near Grand Avenue Tuesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car crash happened around 10:30 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver was heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway. Subsequently, the vehicle crashed into another car, causing one of the vehicles to flip over, and later drawing five cars in total.
 
Soon after, the West Covina Fire Department arrived and treated the victims involved. Fortunately, no one required hospital care.
 
Police have not confirmed if DUI factored into the crash.
