Car Hits Bucket Truck on 205 Freeway in Tracy Injuring Worker
TRACY, CA (August 23, 2024) – A worker was injured after being hit by a car on 205 Freeway in Tracy late Monday evening on August 19.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. near El Rancho Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, an 18-year-old Sonora resident was changing lanes when they collided with a bucket truck parked in an active construction zone.
A worker inside the truck, a 27-year-old Stockton resident, suffered major injuries.
Responding paramedics took the worker to a hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the car sustained moderate injuries.
Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to the crash. The exact caused is still under investigation.
