BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 22, 2021) – A woman suffered serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Brundage Lane in Bakersfield Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened around 7:43 p.m. on September 19, near South Olive Street just east of Oak Street. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the woman was lying down in the roadway when a vehicle struck her.
 
The impact of the crash caused the woman major injuries. Paramedics transported her to Kern Medical Center for treatment.
 
The involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Bakersfield police said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
