Two Vehicles Collide on Old Highway 395 in Escondido Killing One Person

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (October 8, 2024) – A woman was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Old Highway 395 in Escondido Sunday afternoon on October 6.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:38 p.m. at Gopher Canyon Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Honda and a white vehicle collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused one of them to go off the roadway and into the bushes.
 
Responding paramedics took one female occupant to Palomar Medical Center, where the victim later succumbed to her injuries.
 
Another person suffered minor injuries from the crash.
 
At this time, the exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
