Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 in San Jose Kills Woman and Injures 3 Others
SAN JOSE, CA (September 21, 2021) – A woman died in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 101 in San Jose late Saturday evening.
The fatal accident happened around 10:25 p.m. on September 18, at the intersection with Yerba Buena Road. According to the San Jose Police Department, the woman was driving a Toyota Corolla when she collided head-on into a Honda Accord for unknown reasons. A third vehicle, a Toyota 4Runner, then crashed into the Accord.
First responders rushed the woman to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Three people in the Accord sustained minor injuries. Paramedics transported two of them to hospitals for treatment.
The driver of the 4Runner was not injured, police said.
At this time, the identity of the woman was not immediately available.
