Woman Dies in San Jose Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident near Tully Road
SAN JOSE, CA (July 25, 2021) — A woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident near Tully Road and La Ragione Avenue Friday morning.
According to police officers, the fatal hit-and-run happened around 2:00 a.m. Under vague circumstances, a driver in an early 2000s red SUV, possibly a Chevrolet Tahoe, struck the woman. Per reports, the pedestrian was walking in the eastbound lanes outside of a marked crosswalk when the crash occurred.
Soon after, paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a hospital where she died shortly thereafter. As for the driver of the SUV, he or she fled the scene and remains unaccounted for.
