Bicyclist Dies after Struck by Car on Livorna Road in Alamo

 
ALAMO, CA (October 10, 2024) – A woman was killed in a bicycle accident on Livorna Road in Alamo Wednesday morning on October 9.
 
The fatal accident happened around 11:12 a.m. under the 680 Freeway overpass. According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was riding her bicycle westbound when a black Toyota bZ3X that was parked along the right shoulder of the roadway pulled into the roadway and struck her.
 
Emergency services responded, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Division withheld the victim’s identity pending verification and notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, the male driver of the Toyota was unharmed. He was not arrested at this time.
