1 Dies in 2-Vehicle Crash on Avenue 7 1/2 in Madera County
MADERA COUNTY, CA (January 24, 2025) — A woman died in a 2-car accident on Avenue 7 1/2 and Avenue 7.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-vehicle crash happened around 10:18 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a 40-year-old Winton woman driving westbound failed to stop at a stop sign. Subsequently, her Nissan was hit by an eastbound Ford F-250 truck on Avenue 7 1/2.
Tragically, the woman passed away in the crash. The Ford driver was unharmed, and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
Officials have not released the fatal victim’s name.
At this time, authorities are looking at the details of this accident to identify the major cause.
