1 Hurt in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Burbank Boulevard in Woodland Hills
WOODLAND HILLS, CA (November 18, 2024) — A woman was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Burbank Boulevard near Owensmouth Avenue.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened on October 24 around 6:30 p.m.
Authorities learned that a driver of a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Dodge Challenger with tinted windows, turned right onto Owensmouth Avenue from westbound Burbank Boulevard. Subsequently, the driver drove at a high rate of speed and struck a woman in a crosswalk.
However, the driver left without rendering aid. Paramedics responded soon after and transported the female patient to a hospital with severe injuries.
Now authorities would like witnesses’ help identifying the driver involved. They have a reward of up to $25,000 for anyone who could help convict the driver.

Many pedestrian accidents happen at intersections and crosswalks. To avoid a crash, focus on driving safely. When driving at night, use your headlights to illuminate the road; pedestrians should also take care before crossing.
