Police Arrest Speeding Driver for Hit-and-Run after Causing Crash on Foothill Boulevard in Upland Injuring Another Motorist

 
UPLAND, CA (December 3, 2024) – A woman was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Foothill Boulevard in Upland Monday evening on December 2.
 
According to the Upland Police Department, an unlicensed and uninsured driver was speeding down Foothill Boulevard when he crashed into a vehicle in front of him at a high rate of speed. The impact caused the second vehicle to veer and slam into a tree.
 
The suspect pulled alongside the car he hit, saw the injured female driver and fled the scene.
 
A witness of the crash immediately chased down the suspect, who pulled into an alley behind some nearby businesses.
 
Officers arrived shortly and arrested the suspect for felony hit-and-run causing injury.
 
Officers also found a nitrous oxide system tank used for huffing inside the suspect’s vehicle.
 
The condition of the injured driver was not immediately known.
 
At this time, the crash is still under investigation.
