Woman Killed in Butler Avenue Pedestrian Crash in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (May 1, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Butler Avenue near Sierra Vista Avenue.
 
According to Fresno Police officers, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a driver struck a woman walking in and out of the road. Subsequently, Fresno Police and paramedics responded to the scene in front of the Mosqueda Community Center on Butler Avenue. However, the woman who remains unidentified passed away at the scene.
 
Following the crash, the driver stayed for the investigation and might have been under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. Authorities have not confirmed any reports surrounding this. However, we will update this report once we receive more information.
