Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99 in Merced Kills Man and Seriously Injures Stepdaughter

 
MERCED COUNTY, CA (February 18, 2025) – Wesley Wrinkles was killed and his stepdaughter was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in Merced County Sunday on February 16.
 
The fatal crash happened just after midnight on Highway 99 near Mission Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Wrinkles was picking up his stepdaughter, Aryanna, in Auberry and was almost home.
 
They were riding in the motorcycle when Wrinkles lost control and crashed into the center median.
 
Both were wearing helmets and were ejected from the motorcycle.
 
Wesley died at the scene.
 
Aryanna suffered major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
