DUI Suspect Causes Head-On Crash on Highway 126 in Fillmore Seriously Injuring Two People

 
FILLMORE, CA (July 28, 2023) – Two people were seriously injured in a DUI head-on crash on Highway 126 in Fillmore Monday afternoon on July 24.
 
The crash happened shortly before 2:00 p.m., just east of Pyle Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a 60-year-old Ojai man was driving a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck eastbound when he traveled into oncoming traffic. He then collided head-on into another vehicle.
 
As a result, two people suffered serious injuries. The victims were both Lancaster residents. It is unclear which vehicle they were in.
 
Officers later arrested the Ojai man on suspicion of a drug-related DUI.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing.
