DUI Driver Causes Chain-Reaction Crash on Olympic Boulevard in Downtown LA Injuring Two Pedestrians

 
DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, CA (September 16, 2024) – Two pedestrians were injured in a DUI chain-reaction Crash at Olympic Boulevard and Georgia Street in downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning.
 
The crash happened around 12:30 a.m. on September 14. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a Tesla driver ran a red light and crashed into an SUV. The SUV then jumped a curb, striking two pedestrians and two food trucks.
 
The crash pinned one of the pedestrians between the SUV and one of the food trucks. The condition of that patient was not immediately known.
 
The other pedestrian suffered minor injuries.
 
The crash also knocked down a brick wall and an ATM machine.
 
Police arrested the driver of the Tesla on suspicion of DUI.
 
An investigation into this crash is underway.
