Fiery Three-Vehicle Crash on Highway 395 in Adelanto Kills 2 Drivers and Leaves 1 Passenger in Critical Condition
ADELANTO, CA (October 15, 2023) – Two people died in a fiery three-vehicle accident on Highway 395 in Adelanto Friday evening on October 13.
The fatal accident happened shortly before 8:20 p.m. just south of Air Expressway Boulevard. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu, a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu and a 2018 Nissan Rogue collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused the 2004 Chevy to burst into flames with two occupants inside.
A deputy was able to pull the passenger through the passenger side window. An air ambulance then took the passenger to a local hospital in critical condition.
Another responding deputy pulled the driver of a 2014 Chevy out of their vehicle.
Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Nissan was unharmed.
Crews closed the highway for several hours while they cleared the wreckage.
