Woman and Girl Suffer Injuries after Hit by Car on Harrison Avenue in Redwood City

 
REDWOOD CITY, CA (August 18, 2024) – Two people were injured in a pedestrian accident at Harrison Avenue and Duane Street in Redwood City on Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened around 8:00 a.m. on August 15, just near North Star and MIT schools. According to the Redwood City Police Department, a woman and a girl were in a crosswalk at the intersection near both schools when a car struck them.
 
As a result, both victims suffered moderate injuries. Paramedics transported them to a local hospital for treatment.
 
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
It was unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol contributed to the crash, which is under investigation.
