Teen Hospitalized in Highway 70 Accident in Plumas County

 
PLUMAS COUNTY, CA (February 14, 2025) — A teenage driver crashes her car into a guardrail on Highway 70 Thursday morning, walking away with only minor injuries.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol in Quincy, the single-vehicle accident happened on February 13th. For an unknown reason, she lost control of her vehicle. Subsequently, the car plowed into a guardrail, puncturing her vehicle’s side. Fortuitously, the 19-year-old female driver from Beckworth sustained minor to moderate injuries and was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center for treatment.
 
Traffic investigators arrived to determine the leading cause of the accident and believed the weather may have played a role.
