STOCKTON, CA (September 23, 2024) — Susan Tapper died in a pedestrian accident at Pacific Avenue and Yokuts Avenue.
 
According to Stockton Police officers, the deadly pedestrian crash happened Thursday night. For an unknown reason, Tapper, an unhoused woman, was standing in the roadway at Pacific Avenue. Subsequently, an oncoming driver struck her.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene, but the 53-year-old woman passed away. The driver stayed on site and cooperated with police investigators surrounding this accident.
