Store Employee Hurt, Car Smashes Into Store on Sharon Park Drive in Menlo Park

 
MENLO PARK, CA (December 16, 2022) — A store worker was injured after a car crashed into a store on Sharon Park Drive near Sand Hill Road.
 
According to news reports, the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, a driver of a dark gray Mazda SUV tried to pull into a parking spot but accelerated into the glass front of a Safeway store.
 
Arriving firefighters found glass littering the scene and an employee with injuries. Soon after, paramedics brought the store employee to Stanford Hospital for treatment. The uninjured driver stayed on site but could not seem to explain the nature of the circumstances prior to the crash.
