Stefan Key Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on Highway 193 [El Dorado County, CA]

Crash Between SUV and Big Rig in El Dorado County Kills 79-Year-Old Woman

 
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (August 12, 2024) – Stefan Key was killed in a two-vehicle accident in El Dorado County Thursday afternoon on August 8.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:40 p.m. on Highway 193 near Circle Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota Highlander and a Freightliner towing a trailer collided for unknown reasons.
 
Key, a 79-year-old woman of Hidden Valley Lake, was the driver of the Toyota. She died at the scene. Her 4-year-old passenger suffered major injuries and was airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
 
The relationship between the two people is unclear at this time.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Freightliner was unharmed.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
