Sergio Martinez Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Sierra Highway [Newhall, CA]

25-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck on Sierra Highway in Newhall

 
NEWHALL, CA (October 3, 2024) – Sergio Martinez was killed in a pedestrian accident in Newhall on September 15.
 
The fatal accident on Sierra Highway, just south of Quinn Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, Martinez was walking in the opposite direction of traffic when he was struck by the front of a gray 2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck in the southbound lane of Sierra Highway.
 
Martinez suffered severe injuries from the crash. He was rushed to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, where he later died. He was 25 years old, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
 
At this time, Martinez’s city of residence is unknown.
 
The circumstances of this fatality remain under investigation.
