Sandy Marks Dies in Overturned Crash on 10 Freeway near Highland Springs Avenue

 
BEAUMONT, CA (March 5, 2024) — Sandy Marks died in an overturned accident on the 10 Freeway near Highland Springs Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal single-car accident happened around 4:00 p.m. Thursday. For unknown reasons, a 19-year-old man operating a 2004 Infiniti FX35 lost control of his eastbound vehicle. Subsequently, the Infiniti left the No. 4 lane at unknown speed and careered off the road before overturning onto the Highland Springs Avenue off-ramp.
 
Upon impact, Marks — the passenger — and the teen driver were ejected from the car and landed on the road, where officers found them.
 
Due to their major injuries, paramedics took both males to a hospital, where Marks passed away. Authorities did not identify if impairment factored into the cause. However, an investigation should confirm the details.
