61-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by SUV on Highway 395 at Cactus Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (January 19, 2025) – Richard Metcalf was killed in a pedestrian accident in Victorville Friday evening on January 17.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:20 p.m. on Highway 395 at Cactus Road. According to the Victorville Police Department, Metcalf was struck by a white Cadillac Escalade along the northbound lanes of the highway.
 
The impact caused Metcalf fatal injuries and he died at the scene. He was a 61-year-old San Diego resident.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the Escalade stayed on scene and cooperated with police.
 
The Victorville Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation.
