Priscilla Jones and Erick Andrade Killed in Head-On Accident on Highway 25 [Gilroy, CA]

Head-On Crash in Gilroy Kills Two Including 911 Dispatcher

 
GILROY, CA (October 29, 2024) – Priscilla Jones and Erick Andrade were killed in a head-on accident in Gilroy early Monday morning on October 28.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:33 a.m. on Highway 25 near Bloomfield Avenue. According to the CHP, Jones was driving a 2012 Dodge Charger on the highway. At the same time, Andrade was driving a 2018 Nissan Sentra in the opposite direction.
 
For unknown reasons, the Nissan swerved over double yellow lines and into on-coming traffic. It then collided head-on into the Dodge.
 
As a result, both Jones and Andrade died at the scene. Jones was 35 years old from Hollister, while Andrade was a 24-year-old Gilroy resident, according to the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Jones is survived by her husband and their three children. She worked as a dispatcher for Santa Clara County 911 Communications. She also co-owned a small business, Mmm Churros, in Hollister with her husband.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.
