STOCKTON, CA (September 16, 2024) — At least one person suffered an injury in a hit-and-run 2-car accident on the 5 Freeway near 8th Street.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the hit-and-run happened around 8:00 p.m. Friday. Under unclear circumstances, two vehicles crashed on the 5 Freeway in Stockton. Subsequently, CHP officers responded to the southbound freeway and blocked at least one lane to clean up the scene and investigate the crash.
 
CHP logs indicated that medics responded to the scene, as well, but included no information on the injured.
