Pedro Rivera, Nathaniel Perez Die in Solo-Car Crash at Carpenter Road and Hatch Road
MODESTO, CA (June 18, 2024) — Pedro Rivera and Nathaniel Perez died in a single-car accident at Carpenter Road and Hatch Road on Sunday morning.
According to the Modesto Police Department, the deadly solo-car crash happened around 1:30 a.m. For unknown reasons, one of the men was driving the 2008 Honda and lost control. Subsequently, the Honda struck an island at the intersection and a signal light pole on the southeast corner.
Moments later, Modesto Police and paramedics responded to the scene. However, 19-year-old Pedro Ruiz Rivera and 20-year-old Perez passed away. The Stanislaus County Coroner recently confirmed their identities.
At this time, Modesto Police have not confirmed if DUI factored into the cause. However, if anyone could help traffic investigators, please call the Modesto Police.
