1 Hospitalized after Stolen Car Pursuit on Vernon Avenue near Central Avenue in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, CA (March 3, 2025) – At least two people sustained injuries in a stolen car pursuit on Vernon Avenue, Sunday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened on March 2, at about 1:52 p.m. A pursuit began after a call reporting a stolen black Infiniti near Dorsey Street and 41st Place.
A short time later, the fleeing vehicle crashed into a residential fence and hit a female pedestrian in the area of Vernon Avenue and Central Avenue.
Emergency crews rushed the victim to a hospital, where her condition remains unknown.
As per reports, one other person sustained injuries. However, it is unknown if the patient was a pedestrian or a suspect in the pursuit.
At least one person was reportedly in custody.
The LAPD continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
