Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Car on Nordhoff Street in Northridge

 
NORTHRIDGE, CA (September 8, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Nordhoff Street in Northridge on Monday evening, September 4.
 
The fatal crash happened around 7:40 p.m. near Wilbur Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a gray colored Dodge Charger was traveling westbound on Nordhoff Street towards Wilbur Avenue when it struck the pedestrian who was walking on Nordhoff.
 
Immediately after the crash, the Dodge made a U-turn and fled the scene.
 
Responding paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
Authorities only described the victim as a man in his 60s.
 
No description of the motorist was available at this time. A standing reward of up to $50,000 has been offered by the city of Los Angeles for anyone who can help in solving this fatal hit-and-run.
