Pedestrian Struck Dead by Car on Highway 242 in Concord

 
CONCORD, CA (June 10, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Highway 242 near Gregory Lane.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 5:22 a.m. Sunday. For an unknown reason, the person was standing or walking near the center divider on Highway 242 at Gregory Lane. Subsequently, a southbound driver in a burgundy Tesla Model 3 struck the person. Subsequently, traffic investigators and paramedics responded and located the pedestrian with fatal injuries. Officials did not release the individual’s name. Fortunately, the Tesla driver was unharmed.
