WHITTIER, CA (January 22, 2025) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by multiple cars on the 605 Freeway near Whittier Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 2:21 a.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a pedestrian walking the freeway was hit by several vehicles near the carpool and left two lanes. Subsequently, CHP officers responded and closed the area to investigate.
 
The unidentified pedestrian passed away in the pedestrian accident.
 
Due to the accident, drivers faced a slowdown near the Whittier Boulevard exit as police closed the area to determine the events leading to the crash. If anyone has additional insight into the accident, call the CHP.
