Man Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Highway 138 in Phelan

 
PHELAN, CA (November 15, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Highway 138 near Dusty Lane.
 
According to reports, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 5:36 p.m. Tuesday. For an unknown reason, a driver of a gray 2024 Tesla Model 3, traveling about 65 miles per hour, struck a male pedestrian in the same lane.
 
Following the accident, the driver who sustained major injuries in the accident stopped the car. Paramedics transported him to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. As for the victim, he passed away at the scene, as confirmed by the San Bernardino County Fire Department paramedics.
 
At this time, the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s name once they notify the next of kin.
