1 Person Fatally Struck in Highway 101 Pedestrian Accident in Woodland Hills

 
WOODLAND HILLS, CA (April 8, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Highway 101 near Mulholland Drive.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident occurred Sunday morning. Under unclear circumstances, a vehicle struck the pedestrian around 5:15 a.m. on the eastbound highway. Subsequently, authorities responded to the eastbound freeway to find a body in the middle of the road. Soon after arriving, police issued a SigAlert around 5:35 a.m. to close all eastbound lanes to investigate.
 
Due to the victim’s critical state, he or she passed away from his or her injuries and has yet to be identified. By 10:50 a.m., authorities reopened the lanes.
 
Following the crash, police did not release information on the driver or the cause of the accident. However, if anyone has more information on this accident, please call the CHP.
