Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Vehicle on Avenue 26 in Cypress Park
CYPRESS PARK, CA (December 30, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on Avenue 26 near Figueroa Street.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the fatal pedestrian accident happened around 11:34 p.m. Thursday. For an unknown reason, a driver struck the victim at 487 W. Ave. 26 near the Harbor 110 Freeway. Upon dispatch, LAPD officers found the victim whose name, age or gender was not available.
Moments later, Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics brought the victim to a hospital where the individual passed away. Officials have not identified the victim.
After the crash, the sedan driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. However, the LAPD’s Central Traffic Division is still investigating the cause.
