SAN YSIDRO, CA (February 11, 2025) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on the 805 Freeway near San Ysidro Boulevard.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian accident happened around 6:00 a.m. Monday. For an unknown reason, a pedestrian reportedly walked into the freeway lanes allowing minimal time for the Honda Accord driver to stop. Subsequently, the motorist struck the person at the San Ysidro Boulevard exit near the US-Mexico border.
 
The victim passed away in the accident. Officials have not released the person’s name.
 
Officials did not release information on the driver or the factors leading to the crash. However, anyone with information can contact the CHP.
