Person Dies in 80 Freeway Pedestrian Accident in Fairfield

 
FAIRFIELD, CA (November 15, 2024) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on the 80 Freeway near Air Base Parkway.
 
California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly crash around 5:00 a.m. Thursday. Upon dispatch, police learned that a pedestrian ran into eastbound traffic on the 80 Freeway. Subsequently, an oncoming driver struck the individual.
 
Information on the fatal victim, including the person’s name, was unavailable. Due to the crash, CHP diverted traffic off the freeway at Air Base Parkway until reopening the lanes by 7:00 a.m.
