Man Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Santa Barbara Street in Santa Paula
SANTA PAULA, CA (January 3, 2025) — A pedestrian was hit and injured by a car on Santa Barbara Street and Davis Street.
According to the Santa Paula Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened on December 31 around 3:05 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a Santa Paula woman who did not have a valid driver’s license struck the male pedestrian while driving westbound on Santa Barbara Street. The pedestrian, crossing northbound at the time and described as a man in his 70s, suffered serious injuries in the accident.
Following the incident, the driver stopped and cooperated with investigators. Officers determined that stop signs are located at north and southbound sections but none for the west or eastbound traffic.
