55-Year-Old Man Dies after Struck by Two Vehicles on Warner Avenue in Huntington Beach
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (July 8, 2024) – A pedestrian was fatally struck by two vehicles at Warner Avenue and Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach Friday evening on July 5.
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a silver 2022 Lexus IS 500 was going eastbound on Warner Avenue when it struck the pedestrian, who was outside of the crosswalk. A blue 2011 Ford, which was also going eastbound on Warner, struck the pedestrian shortly afterward.
Responding paramedics rushed the pedestrian to a hospital, where the victim later succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities only identified the victim as a 55-year-old man from Huntington Beach.
The Lexus driver, a 28-year-old Huntington Beach man, and the Ford driver, a 61-year-old Newport Beach man, both stayed on scene and cooperated with officers.
Impairment did not appear to be a factor in the crash, which is under investigation.
