One Person Dead in Hollister Multi-Car Crash on Highway 25
HOLLISTER, CA (August 24, 2021) — One person died in a multi-car accident on Highway 25 near Flynn Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-car accident happened sometime Saturday night. For unknown reasons, a gray Mazda3 heading northbound pulled to the shoulder to attempt a U-turn. However, an oncoming silver Chevy Tahoe traveling northbound broadsided the Mazda3. As a result, the Chevy traveled into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Honda Accord.
As a result, six people sustained moderate to major injuries. Soon after, medics responded and transported the Mazda driver and a passenger in the Chevy to Natividad Medical Center with major injuries. Another team brought the other driver and passengers to Hazel Hawkins Hospital and Natividad Medical Center with moderate injuries.
At this time, authorities have not confirmed the ultimate cause or identity of the fatal victim. However, if anyone has more information, please contact the CHP.
