Construction Worker Dies after Run Over by Heavy Equipment on Arcadia Street in Newhall

 
NEWHALL, CA (September 29, 2024) – One person was killed in a work accident on Arcadia Street in Newhall Friday afternoon on September 27.
 
Around 12:50 p.m., Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials responded to the 24400 Arcadia Street after receiving reports of a traffic accident involving a pedestrian.
 
Upon arrival, they determined that a construction worker died after being run over by heavy machinery. The equipment was being used to pave the street.
 
The name, age and hometown of the victim were withheld pending the notification of his next of kin.
 
At this time, it was unknown what caused the accident.
