Early Morning Rollover Crash Involving Two Vehicles on 80 Freeway in Vallejo Ends in Fatality

 
VALLEJO, CA (August 7, 2024) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle rollover accident on 80 Freeway in Vallejo early Wednesday morning on August 7.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:47 a.m. at the American Canyon Road off-ramp. According to the California Highway Patrol, a gray Toyota Prius and a black Ford Bronco collided along the westbound lanes of the freeway. The impact caused both vehicles to roll over.
 
Officers responded and found at least one fatality as a result of the crash.
 
The identity of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
 
After the crash, crews closed at least two westbound lanes of the freeway while they cleared the scene.
 
There were no further details available at this time. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
