Two-Vehicle Crash on Montague Expressway in San Jose Kills One Driver

 
SAN JOSE, CA (May 28, 2024) – One person was killed in a two-vehicle accident at Montague Expressway and O’Toole Avenue in San Jose on Monday afternoon.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:50 p.m. on May 27. According to the San Jose Police Department, two vehicles collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, one of the drivers suffered major injuries and died at the scene.
 
It was unclear if there were any injuries sustained in the crash.
 
Crews closed the westbound Montague Expressway from 880 Freeway to McCarthy Boulevard while they cleared the crash site.
 
No identifying information available at this time. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
